Creative and Finance Professional

I’m a multi-faceted creative and finance professional. My creative background is in the music industry as an artist and a music industry professional. My finance experience is in accounting, bookkeeping, and business administration for various industries including music, real estate, automotive, mobility, and the nonprofit sector. 

I love working with creatives on their financial planning, bookkeeping, and accounting needs. Oftentimes it is those elements that are holding them back from being successful. With the right habits and accurate bookkeeping and reporting, artists can get the data they need to gain a clear view of their business and rethink their short-term goals to generate more income and reduce their expenses. Similarly, I love working with corporate clients and small businesses, helping them pave a financial path to more efficient, profitable, and impactful operations.

My accounting services include bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cost accounting, managerial accounting, budgeting, oversight, reporting, filling information returns, and preparation for filing annual returns and tax returns.

Within the creative fields, I have experience in Event Production, Project Management, Graphic Design, Web Design, Design for Print, Visual Content Creation, and Curating including Photography and Photo Editing/Retouching, Videography, and Video Editing, Social Media Management, and Creative Branding.

My professional journey started with the creative needs of my music project as singer-songwriter and producer, MAAYAN, and my music company Oppenheim Music, Inc. where I engaged in graphic design, created company logos, websites, cover art, posters, flyers, and brochures, as well as designs for merchandise such as T-shirts, mugs and more.  I've created branding themes and strategies, and built and ran social media campaigns for product releases and events. Additionally, photography videography, and video editing come as second nature, thanks to my upbringing as a daughter to a TV director- producer-editor, and my early filmmaking studies.

Having a varied skill set has allowed me to provide various record label services to independent artists. As I was managing my own business, word spread of my detail-oriented, methodical, and organized nature. I was then recommended to a small business offering rentals, repair, and sales of personal mobility devices for people with disabilities, where I became the bookkeeper and office manager and worked alongside a certified public accountant who became my bookkeeping and accounting mentor. I then accepted a treasurer position at a nonprofit that supports women in music; picked up clients in the automotive, music, and real estate industries; studied accounting, and later advanced to become the Chief Operating Officer at California Women's Music.
